Arena Football Team Iowa Woo Appoints New Head Coach for 2025 Season
Well, that was pretty quick...
Earlier this month, we shared with you the news that there would be a change in the coaching staff at the Iowa Woo Arena League Football team.
Last year, the Iowa Woo kicked off their first official season, playing home games at the Hippodrome in Waterloo.

In February of 2024, the team owners announced Mook "Hollywood" Zimmerman would be stepping up to lead the team as the head coach.
Zimmerman was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut. He is an alum of Sacred Heart and went on to play professional football in North and South America for seven seasons.
During five of those years he played pro Arena Football in the United Stares, while he spent two years playing in Europe and Brazil.
Iowa Woo and Coach Zimmerman Part Ways
After leading the Iowa Woo through a pivotal first season, Zimmerman has decided to step aside.
"This decision was not made lightly. From day one you welcomed me with open arms, and I have always considered you and your family a part of my own. The support and trust you have shown me throughout my time with the team has meant more to me than I can express," Zimmerman said.
He is planning to pursue an opportunity outside of the world of football so he can be closer to his family.
"We are deeply grateful for his contributions to the Iowa Woo and the dedication, leadership, and passion he brought to the team," said the Woo owners.
New Head Coach for Iowa Woo Named
On Thursday, January 24th the Iowa Woo announced the hiring of new head coach Victor Mann.
"His passion for the game, combined with his innovative approach in coaching, makes him the ideal leader for our players and staff. We believe that, under his guidance, we will continue to build a competitive and exciting program," said team co-owner Jeff Holmes.
Mann has received two Professional Coach of the Year awards during his 17-year long career as a player and coach in pro sports. He has also seen his team to two Indoor Football Championships in the past, according to a press release from the Iowa Woo.
"This exciting new team has a solid foundation, and I am eager to contribute to its legacy," Mann said in a statement.
