Woman Calls Police About Finding Human Remains — It Was a Potato (Photo)

A woman in England was out walking her dog when she believed that she came across the human remains of a toe poking out of the soil in a muddy field. So, she took a photo and sent it to the police.

After police spent some time searching the area in the dark with dogs, officers discovered it was a potato with a mushroom growing next to it.

According to the BBC, the police said that the call "was made in good faith and they can only praise the vigilance of the woman who made the call."
