What’s Good: Virginia Beach Homeless Get Easter Dinner & Hugs
Unfortunately some people don't have families to go home to for the holidays, but this Easter a nonprofit group was determined to make sure no one was celebrating alone.
In Virginia Beach, there is a nonprofit group that goes by the name of "Sisters Healing Sisters" and this Easter, they decided to spend the holiday lending a helping hand to those less fortunate. You see, the sisters decided they wanted to give a proper meal and not let anyone be alone on Easter. The group gave out hot meals and toiletries to the homeless on Easter Sunday.
According to the founder of the group, they gave out fifty spaghetti dinners with side salads, garlic bread and cookies. However, the gifts did not stop there. They also gave a shoulder to lean on, ears to listen and hugs to comfort all of the homeless. The entire event is called "Passover the Blessings," and this is the third year the Sisters Healing Sisters group has done this.
