Wild footage from a school bus surveillance camera shows what happens when a deer comes into contact with a school bus.

The video comes from Powhatan County, Virginia. It appears the bus is driving down the road, when a deer ran into the roadway.

It flies through the windshield, hitting a sleeping student before shuffling around in the front of the bus before the driver opens the door to let it out.

A student can be heard in the video shouting "What was that?"

“It was a f–king deer, damn!” another student answered.

As the driver pulls the bus off the road, and the video ends "the deer was not injured at all" and "is still running across the field back there.”

The accident occured at 6:07am, just outside of Richmond. No person was injured by the flying deer, and the driver narrowly missed hitting a second one.

“The bus hit it and it rolled up the hood of the bus and through the windshield,” transportation director Brian Bartlett said. “The deer jumped up at about the time the bus hit it.”
