After a pair of thrilling series to begin the USHL Clark Cup Playoffs in the Eastern Conference, the Dubuque Fighting Saints and Muskegon Lumberjacks have advanced to the best-of-five Eastern Conference Final.

Both Dubuque and Muskegon knocked off higher seeds in the semifinals. Dubuque held the three seed and swept the second-seeded Cedar Rapids RoughRiders 3-0. Muskegon entered the playoffs with the fourth seed and defeated the Anderson Cup champion Youngstown Phantoms 3-1 in their best-of-five series.

It is the second time that Dubuque and Muskegon will meet in the Clark Cup Playoffs since both organizations joined the USHL for the 2010-11 season. Dubuque defeated Muskegon in a best-of-series in the 2013 Playoffs on their way to capturing the Clark Cup title.

The Saints will have home-ice advantage for the Eastern Conference Final and will open the series in Dubuque on Friday, April 24th.

The winner of this series advances to the Clark Cup Final and will play the winner of the Western Conference Final between the Tri-City Storm and the Sioux Falls Stampede.
