Waterloo Black Hawks Host Special John Deere Weekend

The Cedar Valley's largest employer, John Deere, has been a vital part of the Cedar Valley for more than 100 years. This weekend the Waterloo Black Hawks will salute the world-renowned farm equipment manufacturer when the team wears special John Deere jerseys during games against the Sioux Falls Stampede.

The jerseys will be auctioned after this Saturday night's game to benefit the Cedar Valley United Way. The Black Hawks’ annual John Deere Weekend is also highlighted by $5 tickets for John Deere employees, available with a special code by clicking here.

According to a press release, Black Hawks President of Business Operations Joe Greene said:

“Generations of farm families have relied on equipment from John Deere, and generations of employees in Waterloo have built lives with a job at John Deere as the stable foundation.”

This Friday and Saturday night the team's jerseys (shown in photo above) will feature John Deere’s trademarked green and yellow logo and name prominently on the chest of the primarily white sweaters. Player's names on the back are a matching green, with white numbers outlined in green. The Black Hawks’ logo appears on the top of each shoulder. Don't miss the auction, as frenzied hockey fans are sure to be excited to take one of these keepsakes home. Of course, all the proceeds go to a great cause.

Friday night, is also La Porte City Community Night, residents can get Attack Zone tickets for just $10 (normally $16), the same offer goes for residents of Denver on Saturday night. Due to COVID-19 precautions, there is no early entry and no re-entry into the building. Plus, face masks are required at ALL TIMES (even when you're sitting), the only exception is when you're eating or drinking.

Head out to Party Town for one of your last chances to see the Black Hawks in Young Arena this season. After this weekend, there are only three home games left.
