Is Iowa One Of The Best States For Thrifting?
Iowans can be incredibly crafty and creative when it comes to their own personal style.
One of my favorite pastimes involves walking into a small secondhand store and checking out some of the interesting thrifted items they've got for sale. It looks like I'm not alone in that either!
Thrifting is more popular now than EVER!
Especially this time of year, making a stop at the local thrift store could help you find that perfect gift for the holidays. Depending on the thrift store, gifts found at these locations can be much cheaper than your typical major shopping franchise.
The majority of Americans are trying to shop smarter this year. According to reports, two in five people are making a greater effort to use gift cards more frequently due to "economic concerns."
Thrifting is a multi-billion-dollar industry in America, and Iowans are contributing a decent chunk of change to that number. There are more than 25,000 consignment or resale stores in the United States, according to the U.S. Census.
A study from Lawn Love proved that Iowans LOVED thrifting. The site looked into the following to come up with the ranking of best cities for thrifting in the country: thrift stores, consignment shops, flea markets, and Goodwill boutiques.
