Those Fun Times When Late Night Shows Have Made Fun of Iowa

In Iowa, we know how to take a good joke. That's a good thing because we've been the target of a lot of late night talk shows including several burns courtesy of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The conclusive list of all the times that Fallon, Kimmel and the other late night dudes have taken shots at us Hawkeyes would be too long to view on your phone. But, here are some highlights:

Ah, yes. The infamous lady on the wall at the Iowa Corn Indy Race. For what it's worth, the game corn hole is underrated no matter what Jimmy Fallon says.

When Mila Kunis Told Fallon About Her Honeymoon with Ashton Kutcher and his Parents in a RV Park

Kudos to Mila Kunis (for many things). Not only did she come to Iowa to visit Ashton Kutcher's parents, but she bought him a RV as a gift. Cousin Eddie (of Christmas Vacation fame) would highly approve of this.

The Des Moines Guy Who Showed Jimmy Kimmel the Video Store He Built in His Basement

How admirable that Brian Hogan of Des Moines took his down time during the pandemic to do something constructive. Note: since his wife mentioned that he did this instead of "redoing their cabinets" like she asked, he will now be required to complete that project since she's now bringing it up on national TV.

It's all in good fun, right? If the national celebrities are laughing at us, that also means they're talking about us and any publicity is good publicity I'm told.
