A Cedar Falls woman just scored a $50,000 prize from the Iowa Lottery’s Super Crossword game after buying her lucky ticket at a Janesville Kwik Star.

While many want to go big in games like Powerball or Mega Millions, you actually have much better odds, albeit for smaller prizes, playing the Iowa Lottery scratch games.

The ticket was bought at a local restaurant in Waterloo.

A big congratulations to Jennifer Donovan, 43, of Clinton, on winning the top prize in the $50,000 Super Crossword scratch game.

The $100,000 ticket was sold at the Dollar Fresh Market in Oelwein.

They said “For Richer or Poorer” on their wedding day… and now, they’re celebrating in a big way!

"I was pretty shocked and stunned," the Evansdale woman said as she claimed her prize at the lottery headquarters in Clive. "I tried to sleep, but no."
