When Will Snow Strike Wisconsin This 2024-2025 Season?
I know! I know!
You were scrolling around online and saw a headline about snow in the month of September and thought, "what the heck?!?"
They JUST started putting out the Halloween candy in grocery stores and you're thinking about winter?!?
While I'm not trying to wish away the entire autumn season, winter is inevitable.
According to the Old Farmers' Almanac, it's going to be a bit different in Wisconsin this time around.
The entire nation is going to be experiencing some incredibly chilly temperatures once the winter months roll in.
While the temps might be dropping the amount of snow many of us will be getting is dropping too!
“While there will still be plenty of chilly temperatures and snow for most slopes, the high heating costs associated with the season shouldn’t hit so hard," said the Almanac’s editor-in-chief, Carol Connare.
Experts are predicting heavy snowfall in regions like the western Ohio Valley, the Rockies, as well as central and southern Appalachia.
What About Wisconsin?
The Upper Midwest (which includes the northern part of Wisconsin as well as Green Bay) will actually not be as cold as usual.
This area will see some hits of deep cold around early November, early and late January, late February, and early March, according to the Almanac.
Snowfall will be below average this 2024-2025 season.
The first heavy hit of snow that this part of Wisconsin will see is expected to come through in late November.
