Another bone-chilling day has led to numerous school closings and 2-hour delays. We've listed all area schools below. As a reminder, the main reason is the frigid temps.

When it comes to frostbite, it can vary from person to person but once temps drop into sub-zero territory, it only takes around 30 minutes for exposed skin to get frostbite. At colder than 25 below with some wind, which we are experiencing in parts of easter Iowa this morning, frostbite is possible within only 15 minutes.

AGWSR Schools: 2-hour delay, No AM preschool.

Bosco System Catholic Schools: CLOSED

Cedar Falls Schools: CLOSED (date will be made up at the end of the year)

Cedar Rapids Schools: CLOSED

Clarksville Schools: 2-hour delay

Denver Schools: 2-hour delay - No AM Preschool

Dike-New Hartford Schools: No before-school activities, however classes will still start at the normal times.

East Allamakee Schools: 2-hour delay

East Buchanan Schools: CLOSED

Grundy Center Schools: 2-hour delay and no morning activities

Howard-Winneshiek Schools: 2-hour delay

Hudson Schools: Delayed 2 hours, No early dismissal

Independence: CLOSED

Janesville Schools: CLOSED

Nashua-Plainfield Schools: 2-hour delay, No AM activities, and no morning preschool

New Hampton Schools: 2-hours delays; No AM preschool

North Fayette Valley Comm Schools: 2-hours delay
