[WATCH] Clark and Reese’s Electrifying Play in WNBA All-Star Game
It was an exciting weekend for the WNBA!
This year the WNBA All-Star Game had some higher stakes. The players who were going to compete in Paris for Team USA on the 5-vs-5 team were playing against Team WNBA, a team selected by the fans/league personnels in Phoenix, Arizona.
The five starters were selected by the fans and the rest of the team were selected by media personalities and head coaches from the league.

Only two rookies made it to Team WNBA this year, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
The two have been dubbed rivals by fans ever since the 2023 NCAA championship matchup between LSU and Iowa.
Fans have kept this rivalry going on into their WNBA rookie year as well. Anytime Reese and the Chicago Sky go up against the Indiana Fever, viewers clamor to watch the two players go head-to-head.
When the news dropped that the two rookies would be playing on the same team, fans were waiting for the moment that Clark and Reese would meet on the court.
2024 WNBA All-Star Game
This was the last game that many of these athletes would play before the Summer Olympics kicks off this week. Star players like Diana Taurasi, A'ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart are off to Paris next.
Unfortunately, they'll be heading out to Europe with a bit of a chip on their shoulder...
The All-Star game on Saturday turned out to be a bit of an upset.
Team WNBA ended up beating Team USA during this highly anticipated game.
The final score was 117 to 109.
This was must-watch basketball.
Clark and Reese showed Team USA that the future of the league is in good hands.
During the 4th quarter, with just about six minutes and forty seconds left in the game, Clark was trying to get past Brittney Griner when she saw Reese out of the corner of her eye.
The former Iowa basketball star pulled off an impressive no-look pass to Reese who took it and flushed it for a two-pointer. Once they completed the play, the college rivals met up for a high five before continuing the game.
It seems like there's no bad blood between these two stellar athletes.
