Man “Door Checks” Fleeing Suspect in a Chick-fil-A Drive-Thru

Police in Jacksonville, Texas, were chasing a suspect when he jumped out of his vehicle and took off on foot near a Chick-fil-A. A man in a pick-up truck saw the suspect approaching him, gave him a “door check” and that was enough to knock the man off-balance and allow the officer to tackle and arrest the suspect.

The Jacksonville Police posted on their Facebook page:

“The suspect was quickly apprehended after the ‘HANGRY’ (but helpful) citizen reminded the suspect as to why you should never run from the police.”

After the successful door check, the good Samaritan walked over, knocked a weapon out of the way of the suspect, and then casually walked back over to his truck.

I believe that fella earned himself a free chicken sandwich.
