Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa has recently announced the hiring of Mike Lind to serve as Executive Director of the nonprofit agency. Lind will oversee day-to-day operations of the organization with a focus on fund development and donor stewardship. He will also work toward carrying out the mission and Strategic Plan of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa.

Lind was most recently employed by the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo where he was responsible for fundraising in support of the agency’s operations and programs. He was also an integral part of a $6.5 million Capital Campaign for a new Food Bank warehouse. Mike also credits past employment opportunities with The Mudd Group and the Courier for the marketing and leadership skills that he has gained.

“I have been very fortunate to find great employment experiences in the Cedar Valley. Nearly six years ago my career focus turned to the nonprofit sector and I have found a passion for fundraising ever since,” commented Lind. “I see great opportunities for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa and those who are served by the agency and I am happy to be a part of it.”

Lind is a graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa with a degree in General Business and an emphasis on Marketing. He is a native of Waterloo and currently resides in Waterloo as well.
