Sometimes it's hard to wrap our heads around the fact the celebrities are humans too. While they may be dealing with the glitz and glamour that fame brings, they also have actual things to worry about, just like us.

While Caitlin Clark is dropping logo threes and breaking records in women's basketball, she's also dealing with some overzealous fans.

However, this fan fervor was taken to a whole new level recently with an alleged stalker.

Caitlin Clark Alleged Stalker Apprehended

The former Iowa Hawkeye turned WNBA pro has been dealing with a lot more attention over the past two years. While most of her fan interactions seem positive and wholesome, a few have taken a turn.

On Sunday, January 12th, a fifty-five year old man was arrested on a felony stalking charge in Indianapolis, according to a report from ESPN.

Michael Lewis of Texas was taken into custody after allegedly making multiple "sexually violent messages" and threats to Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark. All of these messages were through social media, according to court documentation.

These charges could have Lewis face up to six years in prison along with a $10,000 fine.

Law Enforcement Gave Him A Warning

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department initially spoke with Lewis on Wednesday, January 8th about messages that he had sent and directed towards Clark on X.

Law enforcement officials confirm that the messages were getting so bad that the FBI had to step in.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation actually tracked the IP address of the messages to two locations in Indianapolis. One was a hotel located in the city's downtown area, and the other was the Indianapolis Public Library, according to reports.

When local law enforcement paid Lewis a welfare check, he shared that he was in some sort of "imaginary relationship" with Caitlin Clark and that all of the messages were a joke.

Court documents revealed that police told him to stop the messages because they can be "perceived as threatening."

Unfortunately, the messages did not stop.

Clark told police that she was "very fearful" after hearing about these threatening messages, according to a report from the New York Times.

The court reports claim that the 22-year-old “altered her public appearances and patterns of movement” out of fear for her own safety. She did not know who Lewis was prior to this incident and says that she never responded to any of these messages

What Exactly Did These Messages Say?

The messages that Lewis sent Clark were mainly on the app formally known as Twitter, X.

Here are a few of the most startling messages she received from Lewis's account. All of these were meant for Caitlin Clark, with Lewis tagging her handle directly in these messages.

"Been driving around your house 3x a day. But don't call the law just yet, the publc is allowed to drive by gainbridge..aka Caitlin's Fieldhouse."

"u wanna make out w me? Lick each other til the break of dawn?"

"i am your slave. so work me out."

"being faithful to you in mind and body is easy as eating cake and ice cream."

"if I could choose one girl to spend forever with...Out of all the girls in the whole wide world...i would choose you."

The prosecutors for this case are claiming that Lewis had stalked her from December 16th until January 11th, according to a report.

Lewis is anticipated to make an appearance in Marion Superior Court on Tuesday, January 14th.
