Last Full Moon Of The Decade Will Be On 12/11 At 11:12 PM

If you LOVE the moon and are one of those crazy star enthusiasts that likes to keep track of the moon cycle, well you are not going to want to miss this. The last full moon of the DECADE will be here before you know it!

If you are living on the East Coast you lucky bunch will see the full moon at its peak on 12/12 at 12:12 am which is pretty superstitious if you ask me (hopefully this means good luck for the new year). For the rest of us in the central US time zone (ie. those of us in Iowa), the full moon will be at its peak on 12/11 at 11:12 pm (not as cool as 12:12 but still pretty iconic for the decade).

This week's full moon is called the "Long Night's Moon" or "Cold Moon". This is because it's occurrence in December is usually before the start of winter on the 21st which leads to nights getting longer and colder. Happy Winter!
