Jingle and Mingle in Cedar Falls Spreads Holiday Cheer
Jingle and Mingle on Main Street in Cedar falls was a festive way to spend my Thursday (Dec. 6th) night! If I wasn’t in the holiday spirit already, it definitely got me into it! As you can see from the picture above, Santa’s workshop and elves were there, including his favorite Buddy the Elf. However, I did not get a picture with Buddy because after waiting in line to see him I realized I was much taller and uh, older, than his other fans so I figured I would let the other kids have a chance to see him and I would attempt to act like an adult who didn’t just fan girl over him… it was definitely a hard situation.
Besides seeing Buddy and Santa’s workshop, there were a lot of shops decorated for Christmas and I loved looking at all the displays. After a while, my friend informed me that she couldn’t feel her fingers from the cold, so I figured we might as well go inside and eat so we didn’t die of hunger or starvation. We went to a newer restaurant called “Lark Brewing” and got to see/hear the carolers there! I loved their old costumes and the carols they sang and then ended the nigh with some great food. I have to say our server dealt with my weird Ohio pickiness of food with grace and a few laughs.
All in all, it was great to see many families and friends celebrating the holiday with so much cheer and kindness. I will definitely be back next Thursday for the Hoopla Cheer and Ugly Sweater night but first I have to go find a really ugly sweater!
