Come Clean Iowa! Which Hygiene Products Are Off Limits to Your Partner

I recently asked the state of Iowa if there were hygiene products they would never share with their partner and I found out that I am definitely in the minority for most of these products. It should be noted that there are some hygiene products you really shouldn't share. They can put you at a bigger risk for certain infections and they can obviously spread a LOT of germs.

I'm starting to think I might be kind of...gross.

There are a few exceptions like if someone needs to use a needle for insulin, I would never share a needle with someone under any circumstance. I also would never, ever, share someone's used floss. That's a bit too far for me. I'll just wait to floss my teeth later when I can use my own strand of floss. But a "washcloth" is off limits for some people?!

I'm not here to judge either. I also want to point out that I don't share these things with my wife daily. I have my own towel, washcloth, toothbrush, deodorant, etc. I'm simply saying that if my wife was in a pinch and needed to borrow some of these hygiene products, I wouldn't even blink and I would just let her use it. If this was an everyday thing, that's a completely different situation.

When it comes to me borrowing her stuff...she's the exact opposite. She hates letting me borrow certain hygiene products. I've forgotten to pack items before when we visit someplace and I'll just borrow one of hers, and then head out and buy the item I forgot.

She hates it when I use one of her towels or the few times I've borrowed her toothbrush. I've had to borrow her toothbrush because I forgot to buy a new one after throwing my traveling toothbrush away. I've had to borrow a swipe or two of deodorant after forgetting to throw a stick in my suitcase.

What can I say...it happens. She would love nothing more than never letting me borrow some of these items again. What about you? Which items are you okay with sharing and which items will you never share with your significant other?
