The Iowa native had a lead in the very beginning of the matchup with $3,250.
Another contestant named Janine Crum, an art teacher from Ohio changed the outcome of the game. She gained control of the wheel for the majority of the round and ended up leaving the game show with $71,948 in cash AND a trip to Japan.
Crowell did not go home empty handed. The University of Dubuque staff member won $5,250 in cash. That is not too shabby at all!
I'm sure it was still a great experience for him.
