Gallagher Bluedorn Officials Break the News

On Wednesday, October 30th, officials from the Cedar Falls venue, the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, sent out a statement regarding a scheduled concert.

The folk rock duo, the Indigo Girls, had a show slated for Friday, November 1st at this venue.

That show has been postponed.

“We apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it may cause,” Gallagher Bluedorn representatives said. “We were all very excited to host the Indigo Girls for the first time.”

Why Was It Postponed?

In mid October, the Grammy winning group announced on social media that they would be postponing several of their shows due to a "serious family emergency."

This was back on October 11th and the shows that were cancelled were in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (October 11th); Shreveport, Louisiana (October 12th); and Conway, Arkansas (October 13th).

Cedar Falls, Iowa is nowhere on this list.

The reason that the Gallagher Bluedorn officials gave for their sudden postponement was "due to illness."

No more details were given regarding who in the group/band/tour is sick.

Could this somehow be connected to the Indigo Girls' earlier slew of cancellations?

There is nothing definitive to prove this either way.
