“Let There Be Peace on Earth” is the theme for the 31st annual "Festival of Trees" presented by Friends of MercyOne Cedar Falls is going on through this Sunday at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on the UNI campus in Cedar Falls.

Join your friends and family, get in the holiday spirit and maybe get some decorating ideas! Admission is free to check out the nearly 30 trees in the Gallery of Trees, along with wreaths, table settings and creche. A wine tree and memory tree will also be on display.

Noon-8pm Wednesday, Nov. 20th
11am-8pm Thursday, Nov. 21st
9am-8:30pm Friday, Nov. 22nd (closed from 11am-2pm for a private event)
9am-8pm Saturday, Nov. 23rd
11am-4pm Sunday, Nov. 24th

Festival activities include:
Tonight - "Festival Night" 5-7:30pm
Wednesday - Holiday Brunch 9:30-11:30am and The HoliDIY Craft Night from 6:30-8pm in the GBPAC lobby.
Thursday - Veterans’ Holiday Breakfast and Program 9-11am. Followed by "Games in the Trees" 12:30-4:30pm.
Friday - “Let Your Light Shine” Fashion Show & Luncheon 11am-2pm. Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen Bake Sale 9am-1pm with treats and baked goods.
Saturday - Santa’s Workshop 10am-noon Free for children ages 3-10 accompanied by an adult.
Sunday - Teddy Bear Tea 1-2:30pm at the UNI Commons Slife Ballroom. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit and the Dean of Juggling will perform.

Over the past 30 years, The Friends organization has gifted the medical center over $1.8 million. The Festival of Trees proceeds go toward providing services or new equipment at the hospital.
