Donald Dean Studey Explained

We've been keeping you updated about Donald Dean Studey. This man who lived in Thurman, Iowa might have possibly killed anywhere between 50 and 70 people.

At least according to his daughter.

Lucy Studey is working with investigators to solve a series of murder cases that involve her deceased father. She has come forward with these claims about Donald, years after his death.

Lucy claims that her father would make her, and her siblings dump the bodies of his victims in a well on their property.

"Every time I went to the well or into the hills, I didn't think I was coming down. I thought he would kill me because I wouldn't keep my mouth shut."

Law enforcement officials suspect her father's victims to be primarily "sex workers or transients" that were picked up in Omaha. You can read more details about this case and the investigation here.

More details about the long history of this case are coming to light. Fifteen years ago, Lucy Studey went to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and told them what her father was apparently up to, according to a report.

Officials recently reported that a cadaver dog caught the scent of "human decomposition" right along the morel mushroom trails on the property. You can read more about this story here.

FBI Blows Witness Off

The FBI is handling this case and has been in contact with Lucy. Reports claim that she was supposed to meet with agents on Friday, December 2nd for a polygraph test in Lakeland, Florida.

When she arrived at the office at 10 AM EST, she was told that the officer who was supposed to administer the lie-detector test took the day off! Then someone told her that the FBI does not actually do these tests on site.

Someone from the Florida office apparently also claimed they "forgot" to call to reschedule.

It was rescheduled for some time this week. In an article from Newsweek, a former member of the FBI said, "For the FBI to say the office doesn't do the exams doesn't make sense."

We will continue to keep you updated as this case progresses.

See Inside Roseanne Barr's Eldon Mansion

Roseanne Barr was set to make a home in Iowa. She and her then-husband Tom Arnold were in the midst of building a mansion in Eldon. It was put on hold when the couple eventually split up. This left a beautiful, unfinished, and kind of spooky mansion behind.
