Last year at Christmas time, it felt like everyone turned to the more simple and cherished holiday traditions for comfort, as we did our best to social distance, but still celebrate what was supposed to be "the most wonderful time of the year". Now, a year later, restrictions have loosened up, but sadly, COVID-19 and its variants is still making its presence known.

Once again, we turn to the "tried and true", watching classic Christmas movies, baking cookies, and wrapping presents. Everyone is looking for something fun (and relatively inexpensive) to do this holiday season and I can't think of anything more enjoyable to do than driving around the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa looking at all the creative Christmas light shows and beautiful displays. You can tell these folks love Christmas and pour an immense amount of time (and money) into their shows and displays.

Prospect Light Show
Address: 1056 Prospect Blvd, Waterloo
Dates: November 26 – December 31, 2021
Times: 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Description: Display of dancing lights set to music. Tune to 103.9FM
Last year they raised just over $5,000, for St. Jude’s Children's Hospital. This year, they want to raise even more money, so the Prospect Light Show will donate $50 for every $500 donated by you. Click here to make a donation directly to St. Judes, via the Prospect Light Show.

Sumner Christmas Light Show

Krumwiede Light Display

Hickory Hills Light Show

Blue Creek Christmas

Decorah Holiday Lights
