Caitlin Clark Confirms Off-Season Plans—No Basketball in Sight

With Caitlin Clark's rookie season in the books, we're all wondering what she'll be getting up to now.

People were speculating that she might be a part of the new 3-on-3 league Unrivaled or she might go to play overseas.

It turns out that the former Iowa Hawkeye will be trading in her basketball for a pitching wedge.

It was confirmed that the 22-year-old West Des Moines native will NOT be playing in any professional basketball league during the off season.

After the Fever's loss to the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the WNBA playoffs, Clark was asked about her next move.

"I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow or what I'm going to do the next day. So, maybe play some golf, " Caitlin said.

"That’s what I’m gonna do until it becomes too cold in Indiana. I’ll become a professional golfer.”

Basketball Star to Golf Amateur

Well, Clark wasn't too far off.

It was recently announced that the former Iowa Hawkeye will be participating in the LPGA  pro-am at the Annika in Florida.

This is the second to last event on the LPGA tour and is hosted by pro-golfer Annika Sorenstam.

According to reports, Caitlin Clark will appear as a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit at the Pelican Golf Club on November 12th, followed by a day of golfing on November 13th.
