Main Street Cedar Falls has some of the coolest local shops and eateries.

An exciting new chapter in Cedar Falls’ independent bookstore scene is about to begin. One that will give readers in the Cedar Valley even more options.

A New Store From the Folks Behind the Nook on Main is Coming Soon

After opening The Nook in 2023 and Reader’s Cup in 2024, the team behind both shops has announced their latest venture on Facebook: Books on Main, a used bookstore and gift shop.

Located at 205 Main Street, right across from their current location, Books on Main will feature previously loved books, new gifts, and the option for customers to sell their books on a regular basis.

When Will Books on Main Open?

The store’s opening date has not yet been set, but preparations are well underway. Throughout the summer, the team has hosted Used Book Drives to build inventory, and many Cedar Valley residents have already contributed.

While no additional drives are scheduled before the opening, donations of gently used books are still welcome at The Nook.

Readers are encouraged to follow the new Books on Main Facebook account for updates as the opening date approaches.
