Its "Steel Magnolias" meets "Survivor" in this Southern high society play, "Glitter Girls".

Opening on Valentine's Day, Cedar Falls Community Theater will be performing "Glitter Girls" at the Oster Regent Theatre. This show revolves around the "Sisters of the Gleam and Sparkle," which is a women's social club in North Georgia. The show centers around the richest member of the club, Trudy Tromaine and how she is going to distribute some of her millions to one member of the Glitter girls. However, the group is told that they must decide amongst themselves who deserves this money which brings out dark secrets among the group including moments of grief, revelations and just plain silliness.

Our own Tiffany Kay is in this production and plays the part of "Valerie Fairhope" who is described as a former exotic dancer who is now a Zumba instructor, sassy and an instigator (sounds about right). Michelle Rathe is the director of the comedy by Mark Dunn.

"Glitter Girls" runs from February 14th through the 17th and the 21st through the 23rd. Shows are at 7:30 pm on Fridays & Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays. You can buy tickets at http://osterregent.com/tickets/.
