Snacking In Walmart

According to Everyday Query, you are allowed to snack while you walk. There are some basic rules you should follow if you'd like to eat while you walk. "Eating inside Walmart is legal and allowed, although there may be a few limitations to what you are able to eat and drink. As a general rule, it’s best to avoid opening food in the store without first paying for it."

I would be pretty uncomfortable grabbing a rotisserie chicken and munching on it as I browse the shopping aisles but I've surely seen it done before. If you really want to snack on a bag of chips while you're shopping, the Everyday Query suggests you pay for the item first and then continue with your shopping so at the very least, you have a receipt showing you've already purchased the item.

Things To Remember

If you do want to eat while you're doing your shopping, it's important to remember a few things. The first thing to remember is to be courteous to other people in the store. This is important to remember any time you're shopping but don't litter if you have garbage.

If you're walking around with a coffee cup or bag of chips, make sure they end up in the trash can when you're done. Don't leave any trash on the ground or in your shopping cart. Also, If you're going to stop so you can eat your snack, move out of the way of other shoppers.
