Caitlin Clark continues to break barriers, gain accolades, and entertain millions all across the country.

Now, the West Des Moines native is receiving an honor that cements her status as a cultural icon here in America; TIME Magazine's Athlete of the Year.

Caitlin Clark began 2024 by breaking the NCAA Division 1 women's scoring record. Just a few weeks later she surpassed Pistol Pete's record to become the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history.

After leading the Iowa Hawkeyes the NCAA championship game, Clark and her teammates fell to the undefeated South Carolina Gamecocks.

Clark didn't have time to wallow in defeat, she was quickly off to New York City the the 2024 WNBA Draft. She was selected first overall by the Indiana Fever.

During her rookie season she helped take her team to the playoffs for the first time in years.

Now, she's taking a bit of a break from basketball and resting up. Clark has actually joined an ownership group that hopes to bring a National Women's Soccer League team to Cincinnati, Ohio.
