ISU SCORES BIG WIN AGAINST BAYLOR, 87-72: (Video)
The No. 9 Cyclones improved to 14-0 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12 with a 87-72 win over No. 7 Baylor at a sold out Hilton Coliseum Tuesday night.  Iowa State is riding its first 14-game winning streak in school history.

BIG TEN ISSUES PAIN PAPER – IOWA COACH GONE FOR ONE GAME:

The Big Ten Conference office today announced a one-game suspension and public reprimand of University of Iowa men’s basketball head coach Fran McCaffery for violating the Big Ten Sportsmanship Policy during the second half of Iowa’s game at Wisconsin on Jan. 5. In addition, the conference announced that the institution has been fined $10,000 as a result of the violation. The fine and suspension cannot be appealed.

TRY NOT TO PANIC BUT WE MAY HAVE VELVEETA SHORTAGE:
A report in Ad Age claims Kraft is staring down the barrel of a potential Velveeta shortage. A Kraft spokeswoman admitted as much:

QUOTE: "Given the incredible popularity of Velveeta this time of year, it is possible consumers may not be able to find their favorite product on store shelves over the next couple of weeks. Our retail customers are aware of the situation and we expect it to be a short-term issue.”

Word about a lack of Velveeta got out after some stores along the East Coast claimed there was a shortage, with one in New York no doubt inducing stress of the highest order when it claimed it wasn’t expecting a shipment until next month.

Kraft has tried to put a spin on the matter by saying the whole matter ultimately stems from “high demand,” which is really just a back-handed way of saying it’s your fault for eating so much of it. Good job, America.

CATCHING FIRE TO PASS IRON MAN 3:
On Tuesday, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' was projected to pass 'Iron Man 3' at the box-office to become the biggest movie of 2013 with just over $409 million. This may not sound like a huge deal, but this marks the first time a female-led movie has topped the yearly box-office chart in almost 50 years.

FROM THE MAKERS OF THE REDBOX VENDING MACHINE … (Video)
The leasing kiosk service Redbox has introduced the Burrito Box. Why stand in line at a clean, well lite store when you can stand in gas station waiting for your “I drank too much” meal. For three bucks, you can now get a burrito from a vending machine.

It looks just like a Redbox, but orange, with a video cover periodic enticing photos of burritos. There are five options you can point out from: Roasted Potato, Egg & Cheese, Chorizo Sausage Egg & Cheese, Free Range (LOL!) Chicken, Bean & Rice, and Shredded Beef & Cheese. Each one was a evenhanded $ 3 a pop.

Most who have eaten the burrito have not said too many nice things.

JAKE OWEN TOUR DATES:
Jake Owen has announced dates for his 2014 'Days of Gold' tour. The run launches in March in Brookings, South Dakota and spans over 55 cities to end in Owen’s hometown of Vero Beach, Florida in October. Of coarse, no Iowa dates. His closest stop is Moline, IL on July 25th.
