On October 1st, Saturday Night Live returned for its 48th season. If you've been watching the Emmy winning late-night comedy show for years like I have, you probably noticed a whole bunch of new faces.

At the end of last season, the show did a huge overhaul of its cast members. So, you might be somewhat cautious about whether or not you'll be able to actually enjoy the program anymore.

Well, the show also sometimes features silly, small, or way out of pocket references that you will only catch if you look hard enough.

The latest episode of the sketch show featured Megan Thee Stallion doing double duty as the host and musical guest.

Fans of the superstar know that she's a musical powerhouse, but after her recent appearance on the show; we all probably know that she's got some comedic chops as well!

One of the pre-produced sketches made a reference to a well-known Iowa musical act.

The sketch entitled "Women's Charity" is a hilarious satire of all of those sad charity/donation ads. This "charity" is focused on helping out chilly  women.

"Millions of chilly women are sitting in their very drafty apartments without boyfriends."

As Kenan Thompson sings a rendition of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' you finally find out that this fake charity provides "giant, broken-in, men's sweatshirts" to single ladies.

The sweatshirts that were featured in the two minute video include: New England Patriots, Dunder Mifflin (from the Office), and Iowa based heavy-metal band Slipknot!

The band has never performed on the popular show, but there has been an online crusade for years to get them on the program.
