When USHL hockey begins next fall (fingers crossed), I think they should call it the "Unfinished Business Tour". If the COVID-19 crisis was just all a bad nightmare, the Black Hawks would be in the middle of the playoffs right now and headed toward the Clark Cup championship. We sure would like to think so...they we're definitely a favorite to win it all. Oh what might have been right Black Hawks fans? In the meantime, all we can do now is stay home and do our parts so there is a better chance of next season not being interrupted.

Just announced, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Waterloo Black Hawks are pushing back the end of the team’s season ticket renewal period to Tuesday, June 2nd, adding nearly a full month to the original deadline.

In a team press release, Director of Sales Parish Mason explained the decision, which was made after the State of Iowa lengthened COVID-19-related limitations on Black Hawk County businesses through May 15th.

“We are up, operational, and helping our fans, but we know that many of our season ticket holders are still sorting through this major interruption to their regular routine, and we want to be mindful of their needs at this time. We have set up a special renewal hotline, and I encourage anyone with questions to call or text; we look forward to assisting, and we are all looking ahead toward the 2020/21 season.”

That ticket renewal hotline number is (319) 214-0199.

With the extension, 2019/20 season ticket holders retain the first right to renew and keep their seat or Terrace Reserved position on the rail around the concourse through June 2nd. Season ticket rates are unchanged from last season, and eight-month payment plans are available. Renewing fans can also still take advantage of a credit, equivalent the value of eight home games, as part of the Black Hawks’ “Roll It Forward” program, as well as claiming two 2020/21 bonus buddy tickets per seat.

Due to social distancing precautions, the Black Hawks offices at Young Arena are currently closed. However, renewal forms may be returned to P.O. Box 2222, Waterloo, IA 50704 (these forms were mailed to all season ticket holders in March).
