An Iowa Music Festival Has Been Postponed to 2021

Another day, another big event ruined by the coronavirus pandemic!

Yesterday, the Hinterland Music Festival announced on Facebook that this year's three-day event will no longer be happening. The 2020 festival was scheduled to happen July 31st through August 2nd in Saint Charles, Iowa. This change of events is, of course, due to the coronavirus. The post says, "under these conditions, we can’t produce the festival to our standards or to your expectations."

The event organizers aren't using the word "cancelled" when it comes to the event, they're saying that it's "postponed" until the summer of 2021. The post reads:

"We are coming back bigger and better than ever on August 6-8, 2021. Almost all of this year’s lineup is still in for 2021 — including headliners Leon Bridges, Of Monsters and Men, and Tyler Childers. Plus, we are making Friday a full day, which will include some exciting additions."

Some of the other acts that were set for this year were Tanya Tucker, Old Crow Medicine Show, KALEO, and Shooter Jennings.

If you already purchased your 2020 ticket, it will be valid for the 2021 festival, but if for some reason you can’t attend, you can request a refund. Just email realperson@hinterlandiowa.com by July 17th of 2020.

There have already been a ton of summer concert cancellations here in Iowa. On Wednesday, the news broke that the Great Jones County Fair in Monticello would be calling off all of its 2020 entertainment. The organizers are hoping to reschedule all of the acts for the 2021 event. You can read more on that HERE.
