When and Where to Watch Your Favorite Holiday Specials [WATCH]

There are many reasons why Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. There is the gathering with family and friends. A football game or two on the television. And of course, all the amazing food! But I remember when I was a kid, one of the things I looked forward to most about the holiday season was all of my favorite, classic holiday TV shows. In this day and age of streaming we live in, some of those specials can be hard to find. Here is when and where you can watch your favorite shows that make you feel like a kid again!

Let's start with a Thanksgiving classic from 1973. 'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving' used to air every year on CBS or ABC. However, in 2020 Apple acquired the rights to all the Peanut's holiday specials. The Des Moines Register reports that the show aired on PBS in 2020 and 2021, but this year it will not air on network TV. You will need a subscription to Apple TV+ in order to watch this holiday classic. While we're talking about Charlie Brown and Snoopy, 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' can also be found on Apple TV+, however, you can watch it without a subscription on December 16th and 17th, according to Boston.com.

If you're a fan of the 1964 classic 'Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer', and quite frankly, who isn't, you can view that this year on CBS starting this Friday, November 24th. From there, Freeform will provide six more chances to watch the TV special. Boston.com reports that you can catch Rudolph again at these times;

• Sunday, December 3rd at 3 p.m.
• Monday, December 4th at 5:50 p.m.
• Wednesday, December 20th at 8:15 p.m.
• Thursday, December 21st at 5:15 p.m.
• Sunday, December 24th at 5:35 p.m.
• Christmas Day at 3:30 p.m.

The 1969 classic 'Frosty the Snowman' will debut on CBS on December 16th according to Boston.com. From there, it will appear several more times on Freeform. Here is when you can catch more viewings of Frosty;

• Sunday, December 3rd at 10:20 p.m.
• Monday, December 4th at 5:15 p.m.
• Wednesday, December 20th at 9:20 p.m.
• Thursday, December 21st at 4:40 p.m.
• Sunday, December 24th at 6:40 p.m.
• Christmas Day at 4:30 p.m.

If you want to catch the 1966 classic 'Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas' it will premiere on NBC Thursday, November 30th according to Boston.com. After that, fans can catch it on either TBS or TNT. The cartoon will air again on NBC on Christmas Day at 8 p.m.
