What’s Good: Police Officers Fix Elderly Couple’s Wheelchair Ramp
A team of police officers decided to do something extra special for an elderly couple that could not fix their wheelchair ramp at their home.
Last week, police officers from Sunnydale Department of Public Safety in California were called to an elderly couple's home on a medical emergency. The patient was treated and is fine now but as the officers were leaving they noticed that the couple's wheelchair ramp was in dire need of fixing. However, the couple was not able to physically fix it or financially pay for it. So the officers decided to come together to help them out.
A group of the officers left the home to gather supplies to help fix the wheelchair ramp. Later on, the city's public safety Facebook page posted a video about the event in order to praise and thank those officers.
The caption to the post reads, “Although these officers believe they do not need any special recognition for doing this, we wanted to share this story to show you the often unseen kindness that our officers spread throughout our communities.”
