It's times like these that we must be thankful for medical professionals and their quick thinking to help contain a situation.

According to KWWL, MercyOne announced that they will be opening a temporary COVID-19 clinic. This clinic will be used for assessing and testing patients to determine if they have COVID-19. This clinic allows for patients to stay out of waiting rooms and possibly infecting others. However this temporary clinic is not a walk-in clinic.

This clinic is for those patients who have set up an appointment after receiving a referral from their primary care provider, Urgent Care, online virtual visit or over-the-phone assessment. If people are worried they may have symptoms of COVID-19 they should take the first and necessary steps of calling their primary care providers before visiting a health care office. You can find more information about COVID-19 at  https://www.mercyone.org/health-and-wellness/health-answers/covid-19-what-you-need-to-know. The clinic will open next week.

As always wash your hands, avoid large crowds and stay home for the health and safety of yourself and others.
