The University of Northern Iowa Panthers wrestling is hosting a free Fan Fest to introduce this year’s team and teach the community more about the sport.

The event is open to all ages and will be held in the West Gym on the UNI campus. It will start promptly at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 6, so fans are urged to get there when doors open at 6:45 p.m. The first 200 fans will receive T-shirts, courtesy of Roling Ford.

Fans will hear from head coach Doug Schwab and have the opportunity to ask questions of student-athletes. The evening will wrap up near 8:30 p.m. with self-guided tours of the facilities and an autograph session. Gear will be available for purchase from University Book & Supply, and T.C. will be on hand for pictures.

Wrestle-offs will be held the following morning and open to the public at the West Gym.

UNI started practices Monday and is inviting fans and alumni to two open practices planned this week as part of homecoming activities. The Panthers will be practicing in the West Gym at 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
