Wyoming won a three-point shootout over the UNI Panthers, 81-73, in the Missouri Valley/Mountain West Challenge at Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyo., Saturday afternoon (Dec. 3, 2016).

The Cowboys drained 16 three-pointers in the match-up, while the Panthers were able to knock in 10 from distance. Wyoming buried 10-of-15 three-pointers in the second half as it rallied from a seven-point deficit with 17:05 left in the game.

UNI's Jeremy Morgan reached the 20-point mark for the third time this season as he made 8-of-15 shots from the field. Spencer Haldeman chipped in 18 points off the bench - all in the second half. Jordan Ashton tallied his first career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The Panthers trailed 20-9 with 9:01 left in the first half before putting together a 17-3 run that gave UNI a 26-23 advantage with 3:39 left before halftime. UNI and Wyoming were tied at the intermission, 28-28.

UNI moved out a 38-31 lead three minutes into the second half. Wyoming clawed back with a 7-0 run to tie it again at 38-38. UNI had a 62-58 lead following a three-pointer by Morgan with 6:23 left in the game. However, UNI would not make a field goal until Juwan McCloud drained a three-pointer with 25.6 seconds left. While the Panthers could not buy a field goal, Wyoming was taking a 78-65 lead with 30 seconds remaining in the contest.

UP NEXT: The Panthers return home on Wednesday (Dec. 7), when they host South Dakota State at 7 p.m. at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.
