Authorities have arrested the two occupants of a pickup, that was totaled in a rollover accident near Sumner.


According to the Fayette County Sheriff, the office took a report of a rollover accident, at about 8:30pm Tuesday (April 20), in the 15,000 block of "X" Avenue, near Sumner.

Responding deputies determined that the northbound pickup driven by 48 year old Jayme Steege of Sumner, went out of control, and rolled. No injuries were noted.

Steege was found at a nearby residence; he was arrested for Driving While Suspended, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Proof of Insurance, and Failure to Maintain Control.

A Passenger in the vehicle,44 year old Carrie Lynn Christi of Sumner, was also arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both Christi and Steege were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where they currently await an initial court appearance.

The 1994 Ford Ranger pickup was totaled.
