These Hawkeye Fans Aren’t Happy With the Offensive Coordinator
In what was likely the worst Hawkeye performance we've seen so far this season, some Iowa fans are calling for the offensive coordinator's job. As the Hawkeyes took on the second-best team in the country on Saturday, they were dominated on both sides of the ball. When you're playing Ohio State, you have to pretty much play a perfect game if you want a chance to win.
It's been no secret the main struggles of this Hawkeye team have been on the offensive side of the ball. This year's Hawkeye team averages a little more than 10 points a game, according to to Go Iowa Awesome. It's pretty tough to win college football games by scoring less than 2 touchdowns every week.
What makes this even tougher for Hawkeye fans to deal with is the fact the defense has been really good this year. At the time of writing the Hawkeyes have the 6th best defense in the entire country, according to the NCAA.
Fans have started to show their displeasure with the offensive production and I want to give credit to these fans for their excellent punctuation.
The fact that these fans added the proper punctuation to the end of their sentence gave me a good laugh when I scrolled across this on Facebook. Sometimes you have to laugh to prevent yourself from crying. These fans are calling for the offensive coordinator's job.
I don't exactly know what the answer for the Hawkeyes is but it's pretty safe to assume the head coach, Kirk Ferentz, isn't going to fire his son. With 5 games left to play, I think that Hawkeye fans are going to have to ride it out with this coaching staff until the end of the season.
