We had another sign today that we're moving in the right direction. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated their guidelines pertaining to masks.

Long story short, the CDC is now saying that fully vaccinated people can start to part ways with their masks in certain situations.

According to the CDC website:

  • Update that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

  • Update that fully vaccinated people can refrain from testing following a known exposure unless they are residents or employees of a correctional or detention facility or a homeless shelter.

I would suggest you visit the CDC website for all of their most recent recommendations, but this is definitely great news as we continue to move through and out of the pandemic.
