Company officials announced the terminations Wednesday, nearly one month after the supervisors were suspended from their jobs without pay.

An amended lawsuit filed against the company in April alleges plant managers took bets on many workers would get COVID-19.

Two weeks after being closed following an outbreak of COVID-19, the Tyson Fresh Meats plant in Waterloo is set to reopen.

Under the program, 116,000 Tyson workers are eligible to receive two $500 payments.
