Several large trees were either uprooted or had limbs ripped off in the southeastern part of Waterloo. Power was knocked out to about 1,600 customers.

Severe thunderstorms that rolled across northeast Iowa Saturday spawned at least six tornadoes, five of which caused damage in rural areas of four counties.
