No need to wait for spring!

Now that the weather is getting a little bit warmer, we've got outdoor spring and summer activities on the brain!

If you haven't been to a Des Moines Downtown Farmers' Market, you may want to add it to your summer bucket list!

Only two vendors attended the farmers market at Noelridge Park on Wednesday and less than 10 customers showed up in the first hour.

Organizers announced the eleven new vendors.

Northeast Iowa RC&D is receiving a $420,000 three-year grant from the USDA to support markets in Decorah, Cresco, Postville, Oelwein, Guttenberg, and Independence.

At the workshop, farmers market managers and vendors from across the state can come together to share ideas to help promote and grow their markets.
