Pepsi’s Newest Flavor Has Us Asking WHY!?

Easter is right around the corner. With the holiday being next Sunday, April 4 candy shelves are full of our favorite pastel colored candies such as Jelly Beans and the debatable Peeps. Speaking of Peeps, they are taking on another form this year.

The Quad-City Times reports that the popular cola Pepsi has collaborated with the famous candy brand Peeps to create an interesting new flavor for Easter. And when I say interesting, I mean gross. At least, in my opinion. Pepsi and Peeps? It's certainly not something I'd think to put together.

According to the QCTimes the new "Pepsi x Peeps" cola mixes the Pepsi taste "with the 'pillowy-soft and sweet' marshmallow flavor of Peeps." Yes, cola and marshmallow. This isn't the first time Pepsi has experimented with other flavors. In the past, they've released hot chocolate and apple pie-flavored Pepsi drinks. We'll see if this one makes a comeback.

Are you curious to try the new Pepsi Peeps flavor? If so, there's a certain way to go about it. Pepsi will be holding a #HangingWithMyPEEPS contest where they will give away 3,000 packages. Contestants need to tag Pepsi using the hashtag #HangingWithMyPEEPS on Instagram and Twitter showing themselves celebrating spring. Winners will be chosen out of those that do, and they'll receive a package containing three Peeps Pepsi's in bright yellow, pink and blue 7.5-ounce mini-cans.

Peeps fans will be happy to learn there's another way to enjoy those little fluffy chicks this holiday. Happy Easter!
