One Cedar Falls restaurant became a huge hit because of their outdoor patio igloos last year.

Igloos have become quite a popular dining experience ever since the pandemic. While we don't want ANYTHING involving COVID-19 to stick around, this new way of sharing a meal with friends and loved ones has the all clear from me.

George's Local opened right on Main Street in Cedar Falls last year. It has quickly become one of my favorite brunch and dinner spot in the Cedar Valley. It is located in the spot previously held by downtown Cedar Falls staple, Santa's Workshop. Luckily, this holiday treat has been moved to the River Place Plaza.

One Iowa man has been going viral for his exceptional bar. He doesn't have to travel that far if he's in the mood for a nightcap; he just has to go through one single door. His houseguests are transported to a classic speakeasy with the push of a secret door in his home.

Hilarious Iowa DOT Signs

Anyone else share a sense of humor with a state's Department of Transportation? Just me? Well, every Monday the Iowa Department of Transportation puts up a sometimes hilarious, sometimes straightforward message on their road signs across the state. This is called "message Monday" and Iowa DOT tries to entertain and educate drivers through these signs. Here are just a few of our favorites.
