April 21 funeral announcements

Services for a Lansing woman, 87 year old Verna Massman, are Saturday at 1pm at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church in Ossian. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 2 hours before the service at the church, from 11am to 1pm Saturday. Schmitz Grau funeral home in Ossian is helping the family. The service will also be live-streamed.

Services for a Manchester man, 92 year old Charles "Chuck" Fischer, are Friday at 11am at St. Mary Catholic church in Manchester. Burial with military rites in the church cemetery. Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester, and from 9-10am Friday at the funeral home.

Services for a Nashua woman, 84 year old Jeanette Ulrichs, are Saturday at 10:30am at First United Church of Christ-Pleasant Valley in rural Clarksville. Friends may call 4-7pm Friday at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel in Nashua, and an hour before services at the church.

A Waucoma man, Cletus Bouska, died April 14th. Services will be Monday, April 26 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church in Lawler, with burial at St. Mary's cemetery in Waucoma. Visitation is 2-6pm Sunday at the Waucoma Event Center.

Services for a Decorah woman, 103 year old Viola "Vi" Palmer, are Friday at 11am at St. Benedict Catholic church in Decorah. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Thursday at Schluter Balik funeral home in Decorah and an hour before services at the church.

Services for 52 year old Nancy Wirkler of Waukon, are Thursday at the Gospel Hall in Garnavillo. Burial in Garnavillo cemetery. Visitation is 4-8pm Wednesday at Tuecke Allyn funeral home in Garnavillo.

An Elkader man, 60 year old Danny Nielsen, died Monday. A public visitation will be Friday, 3-8pm, at Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader. Inurnment at a later date with military honors, at Norway Lutheran cemetery in rural St. Olaf.

Services for a Decorah woman, 102 year old Anna Iverson, are Wednesday at 11am at Schluter Balik funeral home in Decorah. Burial in Lutheran cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the funeral home.

A Nashua woman, 84 year old Jeanette Ulrichs, died Sunday. Services are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson chapel in Nashua.

A Mass of Christian for a former Fredericksburg woman, 65 year old Susan Armbrecht of Cedar Falls, will be held Saturday at 9:30am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo. Burial at 11:30am in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Friends may greet the family Friday from 4-7pm at the Blessed Sacrament Parish Center in Waterloo. Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton is handling the arrangements.

Burial in St. Mary cemetery with military rites. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Schluter Balik funeral home is handling the arrangements.

A West Union woman, 85 year old Janice Smith, died Saturday, April 10. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10:30am at Garnavillo city cemetery. Burnham Wood Grau funeral home in West Union is assisting the family.

Memorial services for a Decorah woman, Monica Steinlage, are Saturday at 10:30am at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic church in Festina. The service will also be available on youtube. A celebration of life is 11:30am to 1pm Saturday at the Festina Community Center, after the service.

Services for a former Charles City woman, 95 year old Iola "June" Rausch of Newton, are Friday at 2pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Charles City. Private family burial in Calvary cemetery. The service will be live-streamed on the Hauser Weishaar funeral home Facebook page, at 2pm Friday. Visitation is from 12:30pm until service time Friday at the church.

A Strawberry Point man, Neil Morarend, died Friday. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 9-10am at St. John's Lutheran church in Guttenberg, with a 10am memorial service to follow. Burial at a later date. Tuecke Allyn funeral home in Garnavillo is in charge of arrangements.

A Decorah woman, 94 year old Mary Lou (Moen) Lensch, died Sunday. Visitation is Wednesday from 3-6pm at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah. Private family services and burial will be held at Washington Prairie Lutheran Church.
