Services for a Fairbank man, 91 year old Max McGrane, are Friday at 11am at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Fairbank. Burial in the church cemetery with military rites. Visitation is 9-10:30am Friday at Woods Funeral home in Fairbank.

A Ridgeway man, 89 year old Ronald "Ron" Hovey, died Sunday. Private family graveside services will be held at Orleans Lutheran cemetery in rural Ridgeway. Lindstrom funeral home is assisting the family.

An Independence man died Saturday; services for 89 year old Albert Althaus are Friday at 10:30am at St. John's Catholic church in Independence. Burial in the church cemetery with military honors. Visitation is 5-8pm Thursday at the Reiff Family Center funeral home in Independence, with a 5pm rosary and 7:30pm parish vigil.

Services for a Waukon woman, 89 year old Alice Thompson, formerly of Long Prairie, Minnesota, are Friday at 11am at the First Baptist church in Waukon. Friends may call from 9am until service time Friday at the church. Martin Grau funeral home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.

Services for a rural Calmar woman, 78 year old Edith Humpal, are Friday at 10:30am at Holy Trinity Catholic church in Protivin. Burial in the church cemetery. A family rosary will be held Thursday at 2:30pm, followed by visitation from 3-8pm and an hour before services, all at the church.

Services for a Plainfield man, 71 year old William "Bill" Hyde, are Thursday at 10:30am at First Baptist church in Plainfield. It will be livestreamed on the Kaiser Corson Facebook page. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly, and an hour before services at the church. Private family burial with military honors will take place at Pleasant Valley cemetery in Clarksville.
