Neuman’s Movie Monday-Tarantino Movies Ranked
He's only going to make 10 movies. The Kill Bills count as 1 though there are 2 volumes. Here's the rank so far.
9. Death Proof
I only put this at number 10 because it's the only one I haven't seen.
8. Kill Bill Vol. 1
A really good start to the story. But (as expected) there are a lot of loose ends that get you excited to see how the story ends.
7. Jackie Brown
I really enjoyed this movie. I had a hard time putting it at number 8. The only knock on this movie is Sam Jackson's rat tail.
6. The Hateful Eight
Just such a good cast of characters in this movie. Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh were so fun to watch. Still weird that Channing Tatum was in this movie though.
5. Inglourious Basterds
Col. Hans Landa is my 2nd favorite villain of all time! (Behind Longshanks). He's a grade A ***hole. The first time I watched this movie, I hated how inaccurate it was. When Tarantino was asked about the inaccuracy he said, "I got to make a movie where I kill Nazi's and Hitler." That was good enough for me. Also, this movie has one of the greatest opening scenes of all time.
4. Django Unchained
This is another movie where Christoph Waltz is so great. This time as one of the good guys. As good as Col. Hans Landa is, Leonardo DiCaprio as Calvin Candie is a close 2nd. This movie has another one of my favorite opening and 2nd scene in movies.
3. Kill Bill Vol. 2
A great and satisfying ending to the story. All the loose ends are tied up and it's just a great flick.
2. Reservoir Dogs
Tarantino's first film and such a classic. Try listening to Stuck in the Middle with You and not think of this movie. Steve Buscemi as Mr. Pink is great.
1. Pulp Fiction
Going into this list, I was wondering if this was going to be number 1. It clearly is. From Hunny Bunny to the Twist Dance Off, this movie is so good. If when you went through this list and you saw Pulp Fiction as number 1 and you said, "What?" Let me tell you, "SAY WHAT AGAIN. SAY. WHAT. AGAIN!"
