Iowa Woman Arrested for Locking Children in Blacked-Out Room
This story is certainly disturbing. An Iowa woman has been charged with locking her children in a blacked-out room, with disgusting conditions. KCRG reports 31-year old Brittany Roozeboom of Johnston has been charged with three counts of child endangerment and one count of child endangerment resulting in bodily injury after she reportedly locked her three children in a room with black-painted cardboard that was used to cover the windows.
According to the report, the room was locked from the outside, and the door had no internal door knob so the children could not leave the darkened room.
The report says the kitchen also had trash thrown all across it and bug crawling. The children's clothes were also soiled as they did not have access to the bathroom during the periods of time they were kept in the room. Roozeboom is currently being held in the Polk County Jail.
