MIM Movie Review: Chris Pine Week
Marks in the Morning had Chris Pine week for our movie review... well, not on purpose, Johnny and I just happened to both come in with movies involving Chris Pine.
Johnny Marks gave me the movie Wonder Woman based on the DC comics. If you don't know the background of the story, here is a quick overview: Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about World War I killing many innocents and destroying the world. Diana is convinced the god of war, Ares, is behind this threat and fights alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.
I gave Johnny Marks the movie Unstoppable starring Chris Pine and Denzel Washington. In this movie, a massive, unmanned locomotive roars out of control and the train is laden with toxic chemicals, and an accident would decimate human life and cause an environmental disaster. The only hope of bringing the train to a safe stop is in the hands of a veteran engineer and a young conductor who must risk their lives to save those in the runaway's path. Inspired by true events.
How many popcorn kernels did they give the movies? Check out the video below to find out!
